Two Cooper Athletes make MLB debut this season

Patrick Schuster of the Oakland Athletics and Ryan Garton of the Tampa Bay Rays. The two long time friends are not only training partners here at Cooper, but also are from the same hometown of New Port Richey, FL, where they both starred for the baseball team at J.W. Mitchell High School. After spending time in the minor leagues, Schuster and Garton are both in their first season in the MLB  after both were called up to the majors early in the 2016 season after spring training. Schuster has already recorded 8 strikeouts in only 8 innings pitched in relief this season with the Athletics. Garton has also had a lot of success since being called up to the big leagues, recording 31 strikeouts and a 4.62 earned run average in 37 innings pitched for the Rays. All of us here at Cooper would like to wish Ryan and Patrick the best of luck the rest of this season, and we definitely look forward to seeing them in a couple months back in the gym training again this off season!  Congrats Ryan and Patrick on all the hard work paying off in a big way!
