DIRECTOR: AUSTIN DOSSEY
Austin
has a bachelor degree in Exercise Science from
Ball
State
University. He finished up his schooling as an intern at
Cooper
Speed-Strength
School. After that time he was given the job as the Director of Sports Performance.
Austin
has always had a passion for sports; he was a successful high school baseball
player, where he earned a scholarship to a junior college in southern
Illinois,
called Kaskaskia. After junior college
Austin
hung up his cleats and picked up the weights. His passion for weight lifting replaced his passion for baseball. Following his love for sports and training
Austin
moved to
Tampa to increase his
knowledge of sports performance at
Cooper
Speed-Strength
School.
Austin
had the opportunity to train professional, college, and high school
athletes.
Austin’s
third passion is like the glue to his other two passions. Nutrition. He has written the nutritional program that the athletes can use, and he
also provides customized nutrition plans for any athlete. He has also nutritionally counseled Jeff
Snell, Mr. USA Wheelchair division winner 2006, Flint Mid-Michigan Wheelchair
division winner, and 2008 Wheelchair Nationals heavyweight division winner.
As well as
nutritionally counseled many other natural bodybuilders:
- 1
First
Place Trophy
- 4
Runner Up Trophy’s
Austin’s
love for training lead him to become an amateur competitive bodybuilder, and
has won 4 weight/height classes championships, and 2 overall
championships. He was the 2007 Mr. Ball
State overall winner, and the 2007 Flint Mid-Michigan overall winner (a drug
tested event).
Austin
prides himself in being a lifetime drug-free athlete.
He is always looking for new
information that can help his clients reach their goals sooner, or even surpass
their goals. Combining his lifetime passions
Austin
has landed a job with the
Cooper
Speed-Strength
School. This way he can focus on building bodies,
with nutrition and exercise, and he can also help take the athletes past the
point of his own failure and to points of greater achievement. His favorite quote is You get out what you
put in.
